Sacred geometry

Geometry is said to be sacred when it uses figures observable in nature, figures rearranged only by elementary transformation (proportion, translation, symmetry, rotation), the sacred character coming from an interpretation by the human being of the creative principle which has generated these patterns, regardless of this principle.

Will be part of the sacred geometry shapes such as (for example):
- the spiral (Archimedes or Fibonacci),
- the circle (and the oval),
- regular polygons (triangle, rectangle, pentagram, etc.),
as they respect specific proportions, the best known ratio being the golden ratio φ.

There is no lack of "literature" on this subject on the net or in books, serious or less.
If measurements, length or angle, are mentioned to construct a figure, that is all wrong!
Nature does not measure, but builds proportionately. The ruler (not graduated) and the compass are the only tools to make these shapes.

To do is to understand the how, and to approach the why.
This in paraphrase of the famous Socrates Γνῶθι σεαυτόν, or for one of its versions "Know yourself and you will know the Universe and approach the Gods."

The "seed of life" is a stage in the development of the flower of life.

The "flower of life" is composed of connected circles forming rosettes and an overall hexagonal structure.
This pettern is very old. It is found all around the Mediterranean, in the palaces of Ashurbanipal or Herod, in the temples of Abydos or Ephesus, up to the Forbidden City ...

Metatron's cube, or fruit of life

Metatron is according to the Talmud an angel who guides Moses during the Exodus, or who assists YHWH (יהוה).

The so-called Metatron Cube is composed of the Platonic solids: the tetrahedron (4 faces), the hexahedron (6 faces, the cube), the octahedron (8 faces), the dodecahedron (12 faces) and the icosahedron (20 faces).
From a flower of life, it is possible to represent these solids in three dimensions.

This pattern is also called "fruit of life".

The "kabbalistic tree of life" represents the laws of the Universe. Among other things, it brings together the celestial and the terrestrial, the creative principle and the human ...

It is built on the basis of a flower of life, the nodes (sephiroth) being placed at the intersections of the circles and then linked together to form the paths of wisdom.
